Lodge G is in Dinnet, up near the Loch Kinord Hotel. It's one of a few lodges in the grounds. It's detached, with its own parking space and a bit of outdoor space. It backs right onto the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve, so you can step out into the woods and paths.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor, so no stairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. You can bring one dog.
The lodge is open plan, with a kitchen, living and dining area. There's a TV, WiFi, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. There's a barbecue outside and a shed for storing bikes.
You can use the hotel facilities. They've got a restaurant and a bar if you don't want to cook. The bar has a lot of whiskies.
The nature reserve is part of the Cairngorms National Park. There are good paths. The Burn-o-Vat is worth seeing, it's a big granite bowl you can walk into. You'll see birds and red squirrels.
Ballater village is about a 20-minute drive. It's got shops and places to eat. Aberdeen is just under an hour away if you need a city. For skiing, the Lecht and Glenshee resorts are within about 30-40 minutes by car.
