This is Lodge D in Dinnet. It's a two-bedroom lodge that sleeps four. Solidly built, detached. It backs right onto the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve, so you can walk straight out into the woods.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean, with an open plan living area. Everything's included: bedding, towels, WiFi, parking. There's a dishwasher. You're allowed one well-behaved dog.
You're on the grounds of the Loch Kinord Hotel, so you can use their bar and restaurant if you want a meal out. They've got a big whisky selection.
The reserve is part of the Cairngorms National Park. Good for walks and wildlife. The Burn o' Vat is a local landmark, a big granite bowl the river flows through. You can walk right into it.
Ballater is about a twenty minute drive. Royal Deeside is all around you for sightseeing. Aberdeen is under an hour away if you need a city. For skiing, the Lecht and Glenshee are both within a 30 minute drive.
