Lodge A Dinnet

Lodge A is a holiday lodge in Dinnet, Aberdeenshire. It's on the grounds of the Loch Kinord Hotel, but it's detached and self-contained. Your side looks out over the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve, which is wetlands and woods.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, not luxurious. The main space is open plan. There's a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, and parking right outside.

You can take one well-behaved dog. Bedding and towels are included. There's storage for bikes if you bring them.

The hotel next door has a restaurant and bar. You can use their facilities, like the lounge, but you need to book for meals as it's popular.

The nature reserve is right there. You can walk straight into it. There are hides for watching birds. The Burn o' Vat is a short walk away. It's a deep pool in the granite rock, you can go right in through a gap in the rockface. It's worth seeing.

Ballater village is about ten minutes by car. It has shops and places to eat. For a bigger day out, Aberdeen is less than an hour's drive away, through Royal Deeside.

The area is good for walking, fishing, mountain biking, and horse riding. In winter, the ski resorts at the Lecht and Glenshee are within a 30 to 40 minute drive.
