This is Lodge A. It sits in the grounds of the Loch Kinord Hotel in Dinnet. It's detached. The back garden looks right into the Muir of Dinnet Nature Reserve.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It's open plan inside.
You get a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside and storage for bikes. You can bring one dog.
Guests can use the hotel facilities, like the bar and restaurant, but you need to book a table first. They do food and have a lot of whiskies.
The nature reserve is basically your back garden. There are good walks from the door. The Burn-o-Vat is a famous spot there, where you can walk through a crack in the rock into a big granite bowl. It's part of the Cairngorms National Park.
Ballater is about a 15-minute drive. It's a nice village with shops and places to eat. The skiing at the Lecht and Glenshee is within half an hour. For fishing or horse riding, you can find that locally too.
If you want a longer drive, Aberdeen is less than an hour away through Royal Deeside.
