It's Lodge C, up at the Loch Kinord Hotel in Dinnet. It's a detached lodge, so you're on your own. You look right out onto the Muir of Dinnet nature reserve from the back. It's quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The space is open plan.
You're staying on the hotel grounds. You can use their restaurant and bar if you want a night off. They've got a lot of whiskies.
The nature reserve is basically your back garden. Good for walks. The Burn-o-Vat is there, which is this big granite bowl the water's carved out. You can walk right into it. Keep an eye out for birds and red squirrels.
Ballater is about a fifteen minute drive. Nice village with shops. Aberdeen is under an hour east if you need a city. For skiing, the Lecht and Glenshee are within a half hour drive or so.
The lodge has parking right outside. There's a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring one dog. There's space to store bikes if you have them.
