Lodge C

Lodge C is in Dinnet, Aberdeenshire. It's on the grounds of the Loch Kinord Hotel, but it's a detached lodge so it's private. The back of the place looks straight onto the Muir of Dinnet nature reserve.

It sleeps four across two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and modern, but the setting is the main thing. Pets are welcome, just one.

Inside, it's open plan. There's a TV and WiFi included. It has a dishwasher, washing machine, and bedding and towels are provided. Parking is right outside.

You can use the hotel facilities if you want. They do bar meals and have a restaurant. The lounge bar is there if you fancy a drink.

The nature reserve is right there. You can walk straight into it. It's got wooded paths, wetlands, and the Burn O' Vat, which is a big, round hollow in the granite you can go inside. Good for birdwatching or just a quiet walk.

Dinnet itself is quiet. Ballater is about a 15 minute drive. It's a nice village with shops and places to eat. They have the old Royal Station there too. For skiing, Glenshee is roughly 30 minutes by car and the Lecht is about 50 minutes.

You're in the Cairngorms National Park, so walking and cycling routes are everywhere. If you want a city day, Aberdeen is around 45 minutes to an hour's drive away.
