Rowan
This is Rowan. It's an off-grid bothy near Logie Coldstone in Aberdeenshire. It's detached and sleeps two people.
It's a 4 Star place, which is good. It's got one bedroom and one bathroom with a shower. Everything's on the ground floor. It's open plan inside, with a wood burning stove for heat. We provide the bedding and towels. The electricity comes from solar panels, and the water is from rainwater harvesting, so you're properly off-grid. There's parking right by the cabin.
You get a private garden area. We allow up to two dogs. The bothy is by itself in a bit of forest, so it's quiet.
You're in the Cairngorms National Park here. There's walking and cycling right from the door. The area is good for fishing, horse riding, and there's a golf course nearby. For a day out, Crathes Castle and its gardens are worth a visit. Loch Muick is good for a walk and is about a 30 minute drive. If you're interested in whisky, there are distilleries around Royal Deeside you can tour.
