Kilquhanity Cottage
Kilquhanity Cottage is near Kirkpatrick Durham. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. It's in a field, basically. The views are good, just fields and hills.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and well looked after. It was done up not too long ago. There's a wood stove in the living room, which is nice in the evening. The kitchen has what you need.
The garden is yours. It's quiet. The main thing out here is the dark skies. There's no street lights. On a clear night you see a lot of stars.
Castle Douglas is about a ten minute drive. They call it a food town. There are butchers, a bakery, a couple of good places to eat. Dumfries is maybe half an hour.
For outdoors, you're close to Galloway Forest Park. Good for walking or cycling. It's a Dark Sky Park too. Threave Garden is nearby if you like that sort of thing. The Solway coast is about twenty-five minutes away.
Facilities: there's parking right outside. Washing machine. WiFi. Bedding and towels are in. You can bring two dogs. There's a shed for bikes.
