The Pleasant Pheasant Mews
The Pleasant Pheasant Mews is a converted stable block on our property here in Ellingham. It's single storey and detached, so you're on your own. It's quiet. The garden area is enclosed and private, with a covered seating spot.
It's a four star place for two people. One bedroom and one bathroom. The main room is open plan. There's a day bed in the living area if a friend comes along. There's parking right outside.
It's a rural spot, but there's a really good Italian restaurant you can walk to in about seven minutes. The nearest pub, shops, and supermarket are about four miles away in Bungay.
You're right on the border here, so both Norfolk and Suffolk are easy. Bungay is a few minutes' drive for basic shops. Beccles is about ten minutes away. It's on the River Waveney, so there are nice riverside walks and you can hire boats. They also have an outdoor lido pool, but you need to book. Southwold, with its beach and pier, is about twenty minutes by car. For a quieter beach, Covehithe is similar. Norwich is about half an hour's drive if you want a city day for shopping or the castle museum.
Facilities: There's WiFi, a TV, and a shower. Bedding and towels are included. Heating and electricity are part of the price. No pets, sorry.
