Hillcrest Cottage is in Brimscombe, near Stroud. It's a semi-detached place, two storeys, with a garden on a slope so you get a good view over the valley.
It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it has things like a dishwasher, a wood burner, and good quality bedding. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. One is a twin, the other has a king-size bed and a small balcony. There's one bathroom with a bath and shower over it.
The kitchen is a decent size. They've left things like a cool box and fold-up chairs, which is handy. The garden is on two levels with a patio and a BBQ.
You can walk straight from the door along the canal path into Stroud. The Saturday farmers' market there is worth seeing. There's a pub about five minutes walk down the hill. It does a Sunday roast.
By car, you're close to a few Cotswold towns. Nailsworth and Minchinhampton are about ten minutes away. Tetbury and Painswick are within twenty minutes. For a day out, Westonbirt Arboretum is a twenty-five minute drive. The Painswick Rococo Garden is fifteen minutes.
You can drive to Cheltenham in about half an hour for the races or shopping. Bath is around forty minutes if you fancy the Roman Baths.
In terms of facilities, it's all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, parking for one car. It's set up for families with a cot and highchair available. No pets allowed. Bedding and towels are included.
