Lower Mount Orchard Theescombe

Lower Mount Orchard is our place in Theescombe. It's a lower-ground floor apartment attached to our house. You get the terrace and garden to yourselves.

It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got the 5 Star rating because it's well-equipped and finished to a high standard. Things like underfloor heating and a boiling water tap. The access is via some shallow steps from the driveway.

The view is the main thing. It looks straight out over the Woodchester Valley. You can see the vineyard from the terrace. The terrace is done with Italian tiles, grape vines and a couple of olive trees. It gets the sun in the evening. The hot tub is there too, it's solar-heated.

Inside, it's open plan with a wood burner. The bedroom has windows on two sides for the view. The bathroom has underfloor heating. We've got two cats. They're friendly but they will probably come and say hello if you're outside.

Nailsworth is the nearest town, about five minutes in the car. There's a cycle path that gets you there in a twenty minute walk if you don't mind a bit of an incline. It's got good shops and places to eat, including a Michelin-starred restaurant. Stroud is ten minutes away, known for its Saturday farmers' market.

You're right on the edge of Minchinhampton Common. Good for walks straight from the door. Painswick and Cirencester are about twenty minutes by car. The Westonbirt Arboretum is about half an hour away.

In terms of what's here, it's all listed. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, bedding and towels are included. Parking is on the drive. We accept two dogs.
