Capp Mill is in Painswick. It's an old water mill, from the 1700s. It's detached and sits next to a stream in our garden. You get the place to yourselves.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well kept. The stairs are the original ones, so they're a bit steep and winding. Just mind your head on the beams upstairs.
Downstairs there's a bedroom with a kingsize bed and the bathroom. Upstairs is all one room: the kitchen, a table, and the sitting area with a wood burner. There's a TV. The second bedroom is up another flight of stairs, it's a twin room under the eaves.
Outside, there's a patio by the stream with a table and chairs. The garden is shared with us, but we're not around much. You're welcome to use it.
Painswick village is a short walk uphill. There's a shop, a couple of good pubs that do food, and a few cafes. The churchyard with the clipped yew trees is worth a look. The Painswick Beacon is a good walk with views. The Cotswold Way runs right through.
You can drive to Cheltenham in about 20 minutes. Gloucester is about half an hour. For a day out, Hailes Abbey is about 25 minutes away. The Slaughters and Bourton-on-the-Water are within a 30 minute drive.
Facilities: there's parking, a washing machine, a cot and highchair if needed, bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry. There's WiFi.
