Strathlene Lodge

Strathlene Lodge is in Buckie, on the Moray Firth coast. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. You get the place to yourselves, with a garden and decking out front that looks straight over to the sea.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well looked after, not old-fashioned. The main thing is the view. You can see the water from the living room and the front deck.

The garden is partly enclosed. There's on-site parking. Inside, it's open plan, with a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. It has wifi, a TV, a washing machine, and a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if needed. You can bring up to two dogs.

It's right beside Strathlene Golf Course. The coastal path is basically on the doorstep if you want to walk. A few miles along that path gets you to Covesea Lighthouse.

Buckie itself is a proper fishing town. The Buckie and District Fishing Heritage Centre is worth a look if you're interested in that. There's a local pub within walking distance.

Within about half an hour's drive, you've got the other Speyside villages like Cullen and Findochty. If you like whisky, you're on the edge of the Speyside Whisky Trail. For a wider look at the area, the Moray Coast has some good information on walks and wildlife.

That's about it. It's a quiet spot, good if you want to be by the sea without being in the middle of town.
