Brae Lodge is in Cullen, Aberdeenshire. It's a bungalow, a single-storey house, which is handy. It was built on the site of the old railway station, so the original viaduct is right there to see.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and clean. One bedroom has a double bed and looks out to the sea. The other has twin beds and looks over the back garden.
The living room has big patio doors that open onto a raised terrace. The view over the Moray Firth is very good. Sometimes you can see dolphins. The sunsets are something else.
There's an enclosed garden. For facilities, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included.
The village is small and good for a wander, especially Seatown with its coloured cottages. A shop is about 120 yards away. A pub and restaurant are about 350 yards.
The beach is a quarter of a mile. The local golf course is a proper links course right on the coast. You can walk the cliffs or cycle the Moray Coast Trail. Cullen is known for Cullen skink, the fish soup, which is worth trying.
For a day out, Elgin and Inverness are within easy reach. The Whisky Trail and Castle Trail are popular. Boat trips from nearby ports go out to see dolphins, seals, and birds.
