Dolphin View

Dolphin View is in Portknockie, right on the coast. It's one of three cottages together. The name is accurate. You can see the sea and the harbour from the front.

It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's a 3 Star, so it's comfortable and clean. The living room is at the back to make the most of the view. The kitchen is fine, it's got what you need. There's a double bedroom and the bathroom on the ground floor. Upstairs there's another double and a twin room. The stairs are a standard staircase.

The garden area is shared with the other cottages. It's paved, with some seating. You can sit out there and watch the boats.

The village shop, a pub, and a restaurant are about five minutes' walk. The beach is the same. It's a pebble beach. For a sandy one, Cullen Beach is a couple of miles along the coast.

If you're driving, you're well placed. Buckie is about ten minutes south. Elgin is maybe half an hour. That's where you'll find bigger shops. The Malt Whisky Trail and Castle Trail both run through this area. Speyside is just inland.

The coast path is good for walking. You can walk to Bow Fiddle Rock from the village. It's a natural arch in the sea, quite a sight.

Facilities: there's parking, WiFi, a washing machine, a dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. The bathroom has a separate shower cubicle with a grab rail. No pets, sorry.
