Dolphin Bay House

Dolphin Bay House is in Cullen, in Aberdeenshire. It's a terraced house, it used to be two little cottages but we knocked them through. It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating.

It's right on the main street. There's a shop about 50 yards away, the pub is directly opposite, and a good café is about 70 yards down the road.

Inside, the living room is big. There are three sets of French doors that open out onto a large, enclosed deck. The kitchen leads out to a private gravel garden. It's all enclosed, so it's safe for kids or a dog.

The stairs are a typical cottage staircase. They turn a corner and are a bit steep.

Facilities wise: bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a wood burning stove in the living room. You can store bikes.

Cullen's known for its soup, Cullen Skink, and the local seafood is good. The ice cream shop on the main street is famous. The sandy beach is about a ten minute walk down the hill.

For walks, you can go along the coast or up Bin Hill. You might see dolphins in the bay, or deer and birds of prey inland. The Cullen Golf Course is here, and there are loads more courses around if that's your thing.

Further out, within about half an hour's drive, you've got places like Speyside for whisky, Elgin, and plenty of other coastal villages to explore along the Moray Firth.
