Number 12 is our house in Portknockie. It's a normal family home on a normal street, just a few minutes' walk from the sea. The back garden gets the sun and it's fully enclosed.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom and a shower room are on the ground floor, which is handy. The stairs to the first floor are standard, not a spiral or anything. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's clean and comfortable but not luxury.
You're about 200 yards from the village shop and the pub-hotel, which does meals. The harbour and a little paddling pool are an eight minute walk. At the end of our road, a path leads down to some rocky creeks. If you follow the coast path for about ten minutes, you'll see Bow Fiddle Rock.
Cullen is two miles along the coast. They've got a good beach, more shops, and that's where you get the proper cullen skink. Buckie is five miles away. It's a working fishing port and you can get dolphin spotting boat trips from there.
The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine in the utility room, TV, wifi, all bedding and towels are included. There's parking. No pets, sorry.
