The Brae Steading is our place. It's a converted barn next to our house, just outside Fordyce village. You get the bit at the front to yourselves. It's detached, so it's quiet.
It's just for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star, so it's comfortable and warm. Everything's on one level which people seem to like. The main room is big and has those arched french doors. They open onto a little sitting area with a table and chairs. The view from there is good, you can see the fields and a bit of the Moray Firth in the distance.
The village is about two and a half miles away. There's a shop and a pub there that does food. Fordyce itself is nice to walk around, it's an old planned village. The castle is just sitting there on the street corner.
The coast is close. Sandend beach is about a five minute drive, or you can walk it in three quarters of an hour if you're keen. You can buy fish right off the boats there sometimes. Good for a walk or if you surf. Portsoy and Cullen are along the coast, maybe ten or fifteen minutes by car. Nice for a wander and an ice cream.
If you like walking, the Moray Coast Trail is right there. Plenty of golf courses around if that's your thing. For a day out, you're not far from a few castle and whisky trails inland. Fyvie Castle is about half an hour's drive.
What's here: There's a washing machine, a dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right outside.
