This is Kingfishers Rest in Haverigg. It's a semi-detached cottage right at the edge of the village, so you get fields on one side. The back looks out towards the sea.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms upstairs, one double and one twin, and a family bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The whole ground floor is open plan, so it's one space for the kitchen, dining, and living area. Doors lead out to a deck at the back.
The main bedroom has bi-fold doors that open onto a small balcony. The view from there is over the fields and you can see the sea in the distance.
Haverigg itself is quiet. There's a shop and a couple of pubs within walking distance. The beach is a short walk away, it's sandy and good for a stroll. You're right on the Cumbria Coastal Way for walking.
It's about a 30 minute drive to get into the Lake District proper. That gets you to places like Eskdale or the western lakes. The Ravenglass & Eskdale Railway is also about half an hour away, which is a nice trip if you've got children with you.
Parking is on site. Bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine. WiFi is here. You can bring up to two dogs.
