The Loft At Callow Fold

The Loft At Callow Fold is out near Middlehope in Shropshire. It's remote, so you need to be okay with that. It's just you and the fields. The building is detached, an oak-framed thing, and the living space is all up a staircase on the first floor. It's one open room like a studio.

It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a four-star rating. It's comfortable and clean, but the main thing is it's off-grid. The power comes from wind and solar, so you have to be a bit mindful of your usage, especially in winter. There's a wood burner for heat.

You've got a kitchen with a dishwasher and a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. There's parking right there, and a garden area. One well-behaved dog is welcome.

Outside, it's all footpaths and bridleways. You can walk straight out onto the Jack Mytton Way or over to Wenlock Edge. The nearest proper amenities are in Aston Munslow, about a ten-minute drive. For a supermarket or a wider choice of pubs and restaurants, you'd go to Ludlow. That's about twenty minutes by car.

For local information, the Shropshire Hills National Landscape site is good for walks. National Trust has a few places like Carding Mill Valley and Attingham Park within a half-hour drive.

That's about it. It’s a quiet spot for a couple who don't need to be near a town.
