Halford Big Barn

Halford Big Barn is, as you'd guess, a big converted barn near Craven Arms in Shropshire. It sleeps eighteen people, so it's really for big family holidays or groups. It's detached, so you've got the whole place to yourselves.

There are eight bedrooms and five bathrooms. Quite a few of the bedrooms have their own bathrooms. The layout is good for a crowd, as there are separate staircases going to different wings. It means groups can spread out a bit. It's got a Three Star rating, which covers the basics well.

It's a rural spot. The garden is decent, with a patio and a barbecue. There's plenty of parking. Inside, you've got a woodburning stove, WiFi, a dishwasher, and a washing machine. Bedding is provided, and there's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed.

The location is quiet. There's a pub about three quarters of a mile away in the village. For shops, you'd drive to Craven Arms.

If you're here for walking, you're well placed. You can walk to Stokesay Castle from here. The Long Mynd and Wenlock Edge are a short drive away. Offa's Dyke Path and the Shropshire Hills are right on the doorstep. For a day out, medieval Ludlow is close by, and the Ironbridge Gorge museums are about half an hour's drive.
