The Coach House is in Halford, just above Craven Arms. It's a big detached house that sleeps a lot of people, up to 18. There are ten bedrooms and six bathrooms. Part of it was an actual coach house from 1780.
It's got a 3 Star rating. That means it's clean and works fine, but it's not posh. It's good for a big family get-together or a group of friends who just want space. There's a woodburning stove, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a TV, and WiFi. Bedding is included. There's parking on the drive and a patio garden with a barbecue.
The garden isn't huge but it's got a table and chairs. You can see fields from it.
The village is quiet. There's a local pub you can walk to. For a shop, you'd drive to Craven Arms, which is a couple of minutes away.
You're right on the edge of the Shropshire Hills. The Long Mynd is about a ten minute drive for walking. There's fishing and riding nearby too. Stokesay Castle is very close. If you want a day out, Ludlow is about twenty minutes away. The Shropshire Hills website has good walking information, and the National Trust looks after a few local places like Attingham Park.
