Dinhope Big Barn

Dinhope Big Barn is in Upper Dinchope outside Craven Arms. It's a converted barn, detached, so there's no one attached to the other side.

It sleeps fifteen, which is a lot. Seven bedrooms, four bathrooms. Some of the bathrooms are en-suite. It's got a 3 Star rating. That just means it's comfortable and has everything you need, but it's not a show home. It's got old oak beams and the walls are half-timbered. It feels like a barn.

It's big inside. There are two staircases, one for each wing. There's a main sitting room and also a smaller one that's good if kids want to watch something different. You can spread out.

The garden is large and it backs onto meadows and some woodland. There's a barbecue and patio area. You can walk straight out from the garden into the forested hills.

Craven Arms is about two miles away. It's got shops and a couple of pubs. Stokesay Castle is just outside the town, it's a really good fortified manor house. Acton Farm Museum is nearby too.

For walking, you're close to the Long Mynd, Wenlock Edge, and The Wrekin. All are good for a proper hike. If you want to drive to attractions, Ironbridge Gorge and its museums are about half an hour. The Severn Valley Railway is roughly the same. Shrewsbury is about twenty-five minutes, it's a nice old town with a castle.

Facilities: it's got everything on the list. Woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TVs. Bedding is included. There's a cot and highchair. Plenty of parking. No pets.
