Apple Tree Lodge is in Onibury, in Shropshire. It's not in the village itself, it's set in the grounds of a big estate. You get views across the fields.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's all on one level, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. The layout is open plan. There's a wood burner in the lounge.
You can walk around the estate, which is about 2000 acres. There's a small fenced paddock right outside with a picnic bench. The tennis court is hard, not grass, and it's on site.
There's a local bar and bistro you can walk to. It's about a ten minute drive into Ludlow. That's where the castle is and all the food shops.
Shropshire's good for walking. The Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are within about half an hour. Stokesay Castle is very close. Further afield, you can get to Church Stretton or even into Wales around Knighton in under 30 minutes.
Facilities: it has parking, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
