Turford House is our place on Lower Corve Street in Ludlow. It's a Georgian house, semi-detached, about a five minute walk into the town centre. You can see the castle from the top floor.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating because it's been done up to a high standard. The stairs are the original ones, so they're a bit steeper and narrower than a modern house. The doors are all solid oak.
It's been fully restored. They took it back to the original floors and beams, which are nice. It's a comfortable house, not just a showpiece. Everything works.
Ludlow itself is right there. Plenty of pubs and restaurants. The castle is worth a visit. There's a market most days. The river walk is good for a stroll.
For longer walks, the Shropshire Hills are on the doorstep. The Mortimer Forest trails are about a ten minute drive. Stokesay Castle is 15 minutes south. If you want a full day out, the Long Mynd is about half an hour away.
What's in the house: Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels. Parking for one car right outside. No pets, I'm afraid.
