Little Bank Cottage is in Richards Castle, on the Herefordshire side of the border. It's detached, so just you and the birds. The village is quiet, mostly just houses and a church.
It's for two people. One bedroom, but with two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kept and comfortable. There's an enclosed garden out the back, private and sunny. Good for a cup of tea.
Ludlow is about four miles away. You can drive in or walk via the lanes. It's a proper market town. The castle is there, in the middle, and they have food festivals and things. Plenty of places to eat and shops to wander around. The Mortimer Trail starts there if you like walking.
I'm told there's a golf course nearby, though I've never been. For a day out, Berrington Hall and Croft Castle are both within about half an hour's drive. They're National Trust, so their websites are good for details.
Inside, there's a woodburner for colder nights, a washing machine, and parking right outside. Towels and bedding are included. The WiFi usually works fine. It's all on one level once you're inside, which some people prefer.
