Acorn Cottage Welshman's Lane

Acorn Cottage is on Welshman's Lane, on the edge of Bircher Common. It's detached and sits in the grounds of our smallholding. It's 16th century, so it's old and the walls are thick. It's very quiet here.

It sleeps two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The welcome pack has bread, butter, milk, juice, and eggs from our hens.

The stairs are a bit of a feature. They're the original wooden ones, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just take your time.

You have your own enclosed garden. You're also welcome to walk around our seven-acre grounds. There are good walks straight from the door onto the common.

The nearest shop and pub are about a mile and a half away, in the village. Ludlow is a market town about a fifteen-minute drive. It's known for food. Leominster is about the same distance the other way, good for antiques.

Facilities: there's a woodburning stove for cooler nights, a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We allow up to two well-behaved dogs. There's parking right by the cottage.
