You're well placed here. Leominster and Ludlow are both about a ten minute drive for a bigger shop or a market. Hereford is about twenty minutes. The area is known for its black and white timbered villages, if you like that sort of drive.
For a day out, there are a few National Trust places close by. Berrington Hall is about ten minutes away. Croft Castle is a bit further. The River Wye for canoeing is within half an hour, and the Offa's Dyke path is on the Welsh border nearby.
