The Stables

The Stables is a standalone house converted from the original stables. It sits in our own grounds, so you've got your own space and it’s private.

There are two main double bedrooms. Each one has its own bathroom with a shower, which solves the usual queue in the morning. It’s got a 4 Star rating, which means it’s well looked after and comfortable.

The main living area downstairs is open plan – kitchen, dining table, sofa area. It's a good space for a group. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. Outside has a patio area with a BBQ and garden furniture.

We put in a games room with a pool table. And there's an electric vehicle charger on site.

Eardisland village has a pub, it's a proper local. The nearest shop for groceries is about two miles away in Leominster.

For walks, you can follow the River Arrow from the village. Offa's Dyke Path is close for more serious hiking, and the Black Mountains are within half an hour’s drive if you want proper hills.

Hereford is easily reached for the cathedral, the Mappa Mundi, and the shopping. The border with Wales is nearby for places like Hay-on-Wye.

In terms of facilities: WiFi, TV, all bedding and towels provided. We have a cot and highchair if needed, and a stairgate at the bottom of the stairs. The stairs themselves are okay, but they're steep at the very top and there's a low beam at the top landing.

If you're planning outings: Herefordshire Countryside and National Trust Herefordshire.
