Grove Sprightly Barn is in Upper Dinchope, on the edge of the Shropshire hills. It's a detached stone barn conversion. The name comes from a local pony breed, but the place is for people. It sleeps twelve, which is a lot. Six bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean but not luxurious. Good for a big family or a group of friends.
It's very quiet here. You're on a single-track lane with fields all around. The garden is enclosed and there's plenty of parking.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's a wood burning stove in the sitting room. Bedding is provided and we have a cot and highchair if you need them.
The nearest shop and pub are in Craven Arms, about two miles away. Craven Arms has the basics and the pub does food.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. The Offa's Dyke Path is nearby for walking. The little town of Clun is close, and it's very pretty. Ludlow is about a fifteen minute drive. It's a proper market town with a castle and good food shops. Bishop's Castle is about twenty minutes the other way, and it's got a couple of breweries if that's your thing.
Further out, you can get to Shrewsbury in under forty minutes, and the Ironbridge Gorge museums are about an hour's drive.
We don't allow pets, I'm afraid.
