Caradoc

This is Caradoc. It's a barn conversion in All Stretton, Shropshire. There are six barns here in total on the same site, so it's popular with larger groups who want to book a few together.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. One is attached to the main bedroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's all on one level inside, so there are no stairs to worry about.

The main room is open plan, kitchen, dining and living area together. It's got stone floors and wooden beams. It's a proper farmhouse kitchen style. There's a wood burner, which is nice in the colder months. You've got your own enclosed garden patio area outside.

For facilities, it has the standard stuff: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a hot tub. Parking is right there. We allow up to two dogs.

The location is the main thing. You're a couple of miles from Church Stretton, which is a small market town. It's got a few pubs, cafes, a Thai restaurant and a supermarket. The countryside is right on your doorstep. You can walk straight out onto the Long Mynd or over to Carding Mill Valley. The views from the barns are across the Shropshire Hills.

If you want to explore further, Shrewsbury is about a 20-minute drive. It's a nice town with a historic prison you can tour and an arts centre called Theatre Severn. For walkers, the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty website is useful for planning. Attractions like Attingham Park (National Trust) and Boscobel House (English Heritage) are within about half an hour's drive.

That's about it. It's a comfortable place to base yourself for seeing this part of the country.
