Longmynd is one of six barns in a group up near All Stretton, just outside Church Stretton. It's a converted barn, so you get the stone floors and beams. It's on two floors, with the living space downstairs and the bedrooms upstairs.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. One bedroom has a zip-and-link bed, so you can have it as two singles or a king-size. There's one family bathroom upstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped.
You've got your own garden area, plus the shared fields around the barns. The views are good, straight out over the Shropshire hills. It's a quiet spot.
Church Stretton is a couple of miles down the road. It's a small market town. There's a Co-op for groceries, a couple of pubs, cafes, and a good Thai restaurant. The main reason you're here is probably for the walking. You can walk straight out onto the Long Mynd from the property. Carding Mill Valley is the popular starting point, about five minutes drive away.
If you want to explore further, Shrewsbury is about a twenty minute drive. It's got the historic town centre, Shrewsbury Castle, and the prison tours. The Shropshire Hills website has good walking info. For wider planning, National Trust Shropshire lists their local properties.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
The other barns here are the same style. They can be booked together if you've got a bigger group.
