The Granary Clee St Margaret

The Granary is a place we've converted from the old farm granary. It's a detached building next to our own house, so you've got your own space. It sleeps two people and has a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.

The layout is a bit different. To make the most of the views, the main living space is upstairs. So you go up the stairs to the kitchen, sitting area, and the bedroom. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room. The stairs are fairly steep, but there's a handrail.

You get your own parking spot right outside and a private patio area with a table and chairs. It's a rural spot, just outside the village in the Shropshire Hills. It's quiet. The garden looks out over fields. You can store bikes here if you bring them.

The village of Clee St Margaret is small. For a shop or a pub, you'd drive to nearby towns like Craven Arms. Ludlow is about a 20-minute drive. It's a nice market town with a castle, good food shops, and restaurants. Shrewsbury is about 40 minutes north, and Ironbridge, with all the museums, is roughly 45 minutes away.

If you like walking, you're right in the middle of it. The Long Mynd and the Stiperstones are close by for proper hill walks. For local information, the Shropshire Hills National Landscape website is useful. The National Trust also looks after some properties and land in the county.

Facilities are all included: WiFi, bedding and towels, and the electricity. There's a shower, not a bath. We don't allow pets. If you're coming at Christmas, we put up a tree and some decorations.
