The Old Kitchen

The Old Kitchen is a studio cottage in Burwarton. That's a small village at the bottom of Brown Clee Hill. We're in the middle of the Shropshire Hills.

It's a 4 Star place, sleeps four, but it's all one open room. The bed area is part of the main living space. There's a proper wet room with a walk-in shower, and it's all on the ground floor. The door is wheelchair accessible, and there's parking right outside.

The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you bring a dog. You're allowed one pet. We include bedding and towels. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them, and the usual things like WiFi and TV.

The Boyne Arms pub is about ten yards away. We run it. It does food and has a beer garden. The shop is in Cleobury North, about a mile away.

For walking, you can go straight out the door onto Brown Clee. It's the highest hill in Shropshire. Clee Burf is another good local walk.

By car, you're about twenty minutes from places like Ludlow and Bridgnorth. Ludlow has the castle and Mortimer Forest. Bridgnorth has the river and the funicular railway. Ironbridge is about half an hour away, and Shrewsbury is maybe forty minutes. If you book a short break, we include a return trip to either Ludlow or Bridgnorth so you don't have to drive.

This cottage can be booked with The Old School House next door if you've got a bigger group.
