The Old School House 1

The Old School House 1 is in Burwarton, a small village in the Shropshire hills. It's a converted school building. There's a pub right next door, about ten yards away, called The Boyne Arms. The owners run it. They've done it up and the food is good.

It sleeps ten people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. One bedroom is ensuite and has a mezzanine balcony that looks down over the living area. It's been done to a high standard, hence the 5 Star rating.

The front door is on the ground floor and there's a ramp, so it's accessible for wheelchairs at the entrance. Inside, it's open plan. There's a wood burner for colder days. The garden is yours to use and there's a barbecue.

You're at the bottom of Brown Clee Hill, which is the highest point in Shropshire. Good walking from the door. For more structured days out, Ludlow is about a twenty-minute drive. The castle is worth a visit. Bridgnorth is similar distance the other way. Ironbridge and Shrewsbury are within half an hour.

Included in your stay is a return trip for your group to either Ludlow or Bridgnorth, so you don't have to drive one day if you don't want to.

Facilities: all the bedding and towels are provided. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, wifi, and TV. On-site parking. We can provide a cot and highchair. One well-behaved dog is allowed.

This property can be booked together with the one next door, The Old Kitchen, if you need space for fourteen.
