Mermaid View Balintore

Mermaid View is a bungalow in Balintore. It's detached, so no neighbours attached to your walls. The garden is fully enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog.

It sleeps six in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It has a 4 Star rating, which we keep it to. It's comfortable and clean. The living room is a good size for everyone to sit in. The kitchen has what you need.

Outside, there's a patio with decking. You get a view out to sea from there. That's where the name comes from, you can sometimes see the shape of a mermaid on the horizon. It's just a rock formation, but it's a nice feature.

You're less than half a mile from the beach and the harbour. The beach is sandy. The harbour wall is a good walk for the dog. The village has a few places to eat within walking distance. There's a local pub.

If you want to go further, Cromarty is about nine miles away. They do wildlife boat trips from there. Fort George is a big fortress near Inverness, about an hour's drive. It's good for a rainy day. The Pictish stone at Shandwick is just up the road. It's under glass now, but the carvings are interesting.

For walking, you're right on the coast. For golf, there are courses nearby. The area is known for water sports if that's your thing.

Inside, we've included a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are provided. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site. You can bring one well-behaved dog.
