Foxwhelp is a barn conversion on Old Kennels Farm just outside Ledbury. It's called Foxwhelp because all the cottages here are named after old types of cider apple.
It's small. Just for two people. One bedroom with the bathroom attached. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and has everything you need. I think all the points are because it's a proper conversion, with proper walls and beams. Probably fairly sound too.
The cottage itself has a patio area. You get a dishwasher, TV, Wi-Fi, parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. You can bring a dog.
The farm is 24 acres, family run. They grow apples in the orchard to make cider. You can sometimes see that going on. It's about half a mile from the centre of Ledbury, which is a nice market town. Timbered buildings, a few pubs and restaurants, a couple of supermarkets. There's a leisure centre with a pool if you want it.
You're in the Three Counties area, so it's good for exploring. The Malvern Hills are right there for walking. Eastnor Castle is about a ten minute drive. The Herefordshire countryside is all around.
If you want to plan trips, the National Trust page for the Malvern Hills is useful. For the wider area, Visit Herefordshire has the main information.
