The School Room is in Dymock, Gloucestershire. It's a converted schoolhouse from 1825, so it's Grade II listed. You get the place to yourselves, and there's a private outside area called the Folly. It looks out over our garden.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both are double rooms with their own bathrooms. It has a 4 Star rating. The stairs to the second bedroom are a spiral staircase. They're steep.
The main living space is big, with high oak beams and a wood burner. There's a large arched window that lets in a lot of light. The kitchen is off that room.
The community pub is about a minute's walk away. They do food. The village is quiet. For walks, the Daffodil Way footpath through the fields is nice in spring.
Ledbury is about a ten minute drive. It has shops and cafes. The Malvern Hills are about twenty minutes away. The Forest of Dean is about half an hour; they have cycling and walking trails there. The River Wye is good for canoeing, Symonds Yat is a popular spot for that. Cheltenham is forty minutes away if you want a bigger town or the racecourse.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking on site. Bedding and towels are included. No pets, sorry.
