The Row

The Row is in Much Marcle, on the Herefordshire side of the Malvern Hills. It's a big house that sleeps up to ten.

It was originally a row of six farmworkers' cottages. The owners converted it into two houses and live in the other half, so you might see them about.

There are five bedrooms and four bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. Two of the bathrooms are ensuite. The stairs are normal, not steep. The main living area is open plan and has a two-storey oak extension, so it feels very light.

The garden faces south-west with a patio. The view is over fields towards the Malvern Hills. It's quiet.

As for the area, a good pub is about a ten-minute walk away. The village shop is a bit further. We're a mile from Hellens Manor, which is a historic house and garden you can visit.

Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye are market towns about ten minutes by car. Eastnor Castle is a big attraction nearby. For something more active, the Forest of Dean is about a half-hour drive. You can do cycling, canoeing, and walking there. Symonds Yat is on the River Wye and is good for a walk and a view.

Hereford, with the cathedral and Mappa Mundi, is maybe twenty-five minutes away. Malvern is about the same.

We can take up to two well-behaved pets. There's on-site parking for a few cars.
