Hall Farm
Hall Farm is in Shouldham Thorpe. It's a big, old farmhouse from the 1700s. The main thing is it sleeps a lot of people, 18 if you use all the beds. Nine bedrooms, five bathrooms. It's good for a big family or a group of friends who want to be under one roof.
The house is detached and has large gardens. There's also a heated indoor swimming pool just for the house, with a sauna and an outdoor hot tub.
Inside, it's fairly traditional. The kitchen handles large numbers. There's a games room with table tennis and table football. It's a 4 Star place, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. Because it's old, some floors are a bit uneven and the stairs are typical farmhouse stairs.
You're out in the countryside. The lanes around here are quiet for walking or cycling. The Hare Arms pub is about two miles away and is very good. Downham Market is four miles for shops.
For a day out, the North Norfolk coast with its sandy beaches is about a 40 minute drive. The RSPB reserves at Snettisham or Titchwell are up there. Closer by, you've got the Welney Wetland Centre for birds. Sandringham Estate is also within half an hour.
Further afield, you can get to Ely or King's Lynn in under 30 minutes. Cambridge is about an hour's drive.
Practical stuff: Bedding and towels are included. There's parking on site. You can bring up to two dogs. It has the usual things: WiFi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. We can provide a cot and highchair.
