This is the Farmhouse on the Pentney Abbey Estate. The first thing you see when you drive in are the old abbey ruins, which are nice. The house itself sleeps ten people in five bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, which is good for a group that size.
Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and they have their own en-suites. That's useful.
It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic. There's a wood burner, a dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot if you need one. No pets, I'm afraid.
The house is part of a group with two other smaller cottages on the same estate. They can be booked together if you've got a bigger party, up to eighteen.
You're about twenty minutes from King's Lynn by car. The Norfolk coast is under half an hour away. Good spots are the beach and dunes at Heacham, the striped cliffs at Hunstanton, and the harbour at Wells-next-the-Sea. The RSPB Snettisham nature reserve is close to the coast for birdwatching.
There's a lot of history around here. The abbey ruins are right on the estate. Places like Castle Rising, Sandringham, and the old part of King's Lynn are easy to get to.
There are fishing lakes on the estate if that's your thing. For wider planning, the National Trust Norfolk and Visit Norfolk sites have good information.
