The Farmhouse is on the Pentney Abbey Estate. You drive past the old abbey ruins to get there. It's a big house, sleeps ten, in five bedrooms. There are four bathrooms, which helps with a group that size. It's got a 4 Star rating.
Two of the bedrooms are on the ground floor and have their own en-suites. That's useful.
The house is part of a group of three cottages on the estate. You can book them together if you've got a bigger party, up to eighteen. The other two are Walnut Cottage and Fig Tree Cottage. They're all set around a courtyard.
There's a garden and patio area that's yours to use. Parking is right there. It has all the things you'd expect for a big group: a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We've put in a wood burner for the winter months.
The estate has fishing lakes nearby if that's your thing. The Norfolk coast is about half an hour's drive. Places like Wells-next-the-Sea and Hunstanton are easy to get to. The RSPB Snettisham nature reserve is up that way.
There's a lot of history around here. You've got Sandringham, Castle Acre, and the historic bits of King's Lynn. King's Lynn town centre is about twenty minutes by car for shops and supermarkets.
