Walnut Cottage
Walnut Cottage is in Pentney, Norfolk. It's on the Pentney Abbey Estate, which is a nice bit of land with some old abbey ruins you drive past to get here. It's quiet.
The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Everything's on the ground floor. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable. It's clean and warm.
You've got your own patio and garden area. There's parking right outside. Inside, it's open plan. There's a woodburning stove for the cooler evenings, which is nice to sit by. TV and wifi are included. All the bedding and towels are there.
The estate has some fishing lakes if that's your thing. Kings Lynn is about 20 minutes drive for shops and things.
The north Norfolk coast is under half an hour away. It's good for walking. The beach at Old Hunstanton is sandy. Heacham has sand dunes. Wells-next-the-Sea has the pine woods and the long beach. For birdwatching, RSPB Snettisham is a major site, especially when the waders come in.
If you're interested in the local history, Sandringham House is close by. Castle Rising and Castle Acre Priory are both worth a look. The National Trust has Peckover House in Wisbech, and Sheringham Park is on the coast.
We don't allow pets, sorry. The property is decorated for Christmas if you book over that period.
