Purlin Barn
Purlin Barn is one of the cottages at Thorpland Manor Farm. It's set up near the owner's 17th century farmhouse. It's quiet here, quite remote. The fields are very flat. You'll see tractors about.
It sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which is handy. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well finished. It's a barn conversion, so you get the beams and high ceilings.
The farm is still working. You're welcome to walk around the grounds. There's a shared outdoor heated swimming pool, which is open in the summer months. There's also a shared games room and a hot tub. You get your own patio with a BBQ.
There's on-site parking and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. A cot and highchair are there if you need them. No pets, sorry.
A shop and a pub that does food are about a mile and a half away in the village. You'll probably drive to them.
For days out, the north Norfolk coast is about a 45 minute drive. It's good for beaches and birdwatching. Sandringham is within half an hour. Oxburgh Hall is nearby if you like historic houses. Downham Market, the nearest proper town, is about four miles away. They've got shops and a sports centre.
