Pantiles Barn

Pantiles Barn is on a working farm in Thorpland, about twenty minutes drive from Downham Market. It's one of seven cottages here, all converted from old farm buildings. You get your own bit of garden to sit out in.

It sleeps six, across three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. Everything's comfortable and in good order. The walls and ceilings are beamed, so watch your head in places.

The farm's got shared facilities. There's a heated outdoor swimming pool open in summer, a games room, and a hot tub. You're welcome to walk around the farm grounds. There's coarse fishing on the farm lake if you've got a rod licence.

The village pub is a mile and a half away. It serves food. The nearest shop is about the same distance, in Downham Market. That town has a sports centre and a few other things.

For days out, Oxburgh Hall, the moated National Trust house, is about a fifteen minute drive. It's worth a look. National Trust Oxburgh Hall. The north Norfolk coast, places like Hunstanton, is about forty minutes by car. Sandringham Estate is roughly half an hour away.

The area is very flat. Good for cycling if you bring bikes. Lots of quiet lanes and fenland paths.

As for stuff here: there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. No pets, I'm afraid.
