Archway Barn
Archway Barn is on our farm, Thorpland Manor Farm, down a lane near Downham Market. It's all flat fields around here. A proper working farm.
It sleeps six, in three bedrooms. Two bathrooms downstairs, which is handy. The main bedroom and living space are upstairs. Those rooms have the high ceilings and the big beams from when it was a barn. The stairs are a normal flight, not a cottage ladder.
The place has a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. We've tried to make it accessible where we can, so there's a wet room downstairs and things like grab rails.
You get your own patio area out the front. Then you can wander around the farm grounds. There are shared facilities: a heated outdoor pool open in summer, a games room, a sauna, and a hot tub. There's a kids' play area too. You can fish in the farm pond.
The local pub is about a mile and a half away in Bexwell. It does food. Downham Market has the shops, about three and a half miles. It's an old market town.
For days out, the north Norfolk coast is about 40 minutes drive. Holkham and Brancaster are good for big beaches. Sandringham is closer, maybe 25 minutes. Oxburgh Hall is a moated manor house about 20 minutes away. Good for a walk around.
What's here: all the bedding and towels are included. There's a washing machine, dishwasher, cot, highchair. You can store bikes. On-site parking. Sorry, no pets.
