Archway Barn

Archway Barn is at Thorpland Manor Farm, near Downham Market in Norfolk. It's on a working farm, which is quiet most of the time but you will hear farm vehicles sometimes. The barns are in a courtyard near the owner's farmhouse.

It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms, one is a wet room on the ground floor. It has a 4 Star rating. The conversion kept a lot of the original beams and features, so the ceilings are high but the doorways are normal height. The floors are tile and wood.

Outside, you have your own patio area with a table and a BBQ. The shared facilities are the main thing here. There's a heated outdoor swimming pool open in summer, a games room, and a sauna and hot tub. There's also a kids play area. You're welcome to walk around the farm grounds and there's coarse fishing on the farm lakes.

The nearest shop and a pub that does food are about a mile and a half away in Thorpland village. Downham Market is three and a half miles. It's a proper market town with shops, a few restaurants, and a sports centre.

For days out, Sandringham House and Estate is about twenty-five minutes by car. The north Norfolk coast, places like Hunstanton, is about forty-five minutes. Oxburgh Hall, a moated manor house, is twenty minutes away. The Norfolk Fens around here are very flat, good for cycling and walking. The pedal bikes in the storage might be useful.

Facilities included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a washing machine, dishwasher, cot and highchair. There's on-site parking. The property is wheelchair accessible, with grab rails, a seat in the shower, and low worktops in the kitchen. No pets.
