Rafters Barn
Rafters Barn is on Thorpland Manor Farm, near Downham Market in Norfolk. It's part of a group of seven cottages converted from old farm buildings.
The barn sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped. The ceilings are beamed. There's a private patio area with a table and chairs.
You share access to the farm grounds, which are good for walking. There's a heated outdoor pool open in the summer, a games room, and a hot tub. There's also a small kids' play area. You're on a working farm, so you'll see tractors and animals about.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate available. Parking is right outside. No pets allowed.
The local pub is about a mile and a half away in Thorpland. It serves food. Downham Market is a few miles further for shops and supermarkets.
For days out, Sandringham House is about a 25 minute drive. The north Norfolk coast, like Holkham or Hunstanton, is within half an hour. For walking, the Fens and Brecks are right here, or you can drive to the coast paths.
