Lintel Barn

Lintel Barn is on Thorpland Manor Farm, out in the Norfolk Fens. It's a single-storey, detached bungalow. The place is all on one level, with a wet room shower, so it’s good if you have mobility issues or just don't fancy stairs.

It sleeps two, one bedroom. It’s a 4 Star place, which means it’s well put together and comfortable. It’s open plan inside. You get a little patio area to yourselves with a table and chairs.

The farm is working, so you’ll see animals and tractors about. There are shared facilities on site: a heated outdoor pool is open in summer, there’s a games room, and a hot tub you can book. You can walk around the farm grounds. There's coarse fishing in the farm ponds if you bring your own gear.

The local shop and a pub that does food are about a mile and a half away in the village. For a bigger shop, Downham Market is about four miles. It's an old market town with the usual supermarkets and a few places to eat.

You’re about half an hour’s drive from the north Norfolk coast. Hunstanton has a sandy beach and those striped cliffs. There are lots of bird reserves and salt marshes along that coast too. Sandringham House and its park are worth a visit.

Closer by, Oxburgh Hall, a moated manor house run by the National Trust, is about a 20-minute drive. For glass blowing, Langham Glass is nearby.

Facilities wise: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. They can provide a cot and highchair. The whole place is wheelchair accessible, with grab rails and a seat in the shower.
