The Old Butcher's Shop is in Wereham village. It's a detached cottage. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom, which is downstairs.
It's got a 4 Star rating. The place is well looked after and comfortable, not a project. The living room is a good size with a wood burner. The kitchen has a table to eat at. The stairs are fine but they turn a corner, so mind your head.
To the front there's a walled courtyard with a patio area. It's enclosed, which is good if you've got dogs or kids. You can park a car on it.
The village pub is about a minute's walk away. They do food. The village green and duck pond are just down the road. For a big shop, you'd drive to Downham Market, which is about two miles.
You can walk straight from the door into the lanes and fields. For a bigger day out, Thetford Forest is about 20 minutes by car. They've got walking trails and a Go Ape. Forestry England: Thetford Forest.
The north Norfolk coast is about 40 minutes away. That's places like Holkham, Brancaster, and Hunstanton. It's sand dunes and big beaches. Visit Norfolk: North Norfolk Coast.
For a historical day out, Sandringham House is in that direction too. Or you can go into King's Lynn to see the old quarter.
The place has a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to three dogs. There's no extra charge for them.
