Hillend Farm House is just outside Dalry. It's a detached cottage, so you have your own space around the property. It looks out over fields.
The house sleeps six. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, which helps with the morning rush. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's been checked to a high standard.
A couple of things to note. The heating is done by an electric stove, not a real fire. The design gives it a proper farmhouse feel. Some of the walls are thick, so the Wi-Fi signal can dip in the furthest bedroom. There's a pond in the garden. If you're bringing children, you'll want to know that.
You're about seven or eight miles from the coast. The Ayrshire Coastal Path starts nearby if you want a long walk. For a day out, Culzean Castle and Country Park is excellent. You can walk through the woods down to the beach. There's a lot of information on the Culzean Castle site. You can get ferries to Arran or Bute from Ardrossan, which is about a twenty-minute drive.
For facilities, you've got the basics covered: a washing machine, a dishwasher, parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. No pets, I'm afraid.
The owner runs a hair and beauty clinic a couple of minutes down the road. You can book treatments if that's something you're interested in.
