Tennox Parlour
Tennox Parlour is a detached house in Kilbirnie, Ayrshire. It's part of a small, gated estate, so it's quiet and private. The house looks out over fields towards the river.
It sleeps eight people in four bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star property, which means it's well finished and comfortable. Everything is included, like bedding and towels.
You've got a garden and patio area to yourselves, and parking right at the house. Inside, there's a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and a TV. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets allowed, sorry.
The local pub and a restaurant are about half a mile away. The nearest proper shop is in Kilbirnie, two miles from the house.
This is good walking country. The Ayrshire Coastal Path starts nearby if you want a long walk by the sea. For a shorter stroll, the Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park is right on the doorstep. The coast is about nine miles away for a day at the beach.
Golf is a big thing here. The famous Turnberry course is about a thirty minute drive. There are plenty of other courses closer than that too.
For a day out, Culzean Castle is spectacular and well worth a visit. If you're interested in Robert Burns, his cottage and museum in Alloway are about forty minutes away by car. You can get a ferry to the Isle of Arran from Ardrossan, which takes less than half an hour to drive to. Glasgow is around forty five minutes if you want a city trip.
The owner runs a hair and beauty clinic a couple of minutes' walk from the cottage. You can book treatments if you want a pamper day during your stay.
