Holmbyre Smithy
Holmbyre Smithy is just outside Dalry in Ayrshire. It's a detached cottage, on its own. It used to be a smithy.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 5 Star rating. That means it's finished to a high standard, not just clean.
The main thing is the location. It's by the river and you look out at fields and hills. There's a hot tub. It's private.
Inside, it's spacious. There's a woodburning stove, which is good on cooler nights. You've got a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, and parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
Dalry itself has shops and pubs for what you need. For a proper look around, Ayr is about a twenty minute drive. It's a traditional seaside town.
You're well placed for getting out. The Ayrshire Coastal Path is right there for walking. The coast is about twenty minutes away by car. Culzean Castle is spectacular and worth a visit. If you play golf, Turnberry is within half an hour.
You can get a ferry to Arran from Ardrossan, which is maybe thirty minutes away. For a city day, Glasgow is under an hour's drive. The same for Loch Lomond and The Trossachs National Park.
