Seamill Cottage is on the main street in West Kilbride. It's an end-terrace cottage. It sleeps four, two bedrooms. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
The beach is just down the hill, maybe a five minute walk. It's sandy and the views are good, out to Arran and Ailsa Craig. You can see a hotel from the front window, which does food. There's a few other places to eat a short drive away.
The cottage has a small, enclosed back garden. It's handy. Parking is on the street outside, which is usually fine.
Things to know: the stairs are a bit steep, as you'd expect. It's on the main road, so there's some traffic noise during the day. It's not terrible, but it's not silent either. The Wi-Fi is there, but it's a standard connection.
The Ayrshire Coastal Path runs right past, so you can walk for miles from the door. For a bigger day out, Culzean Castle is about half an hour south. The grounds are worth it. Dumfries House is inland, also around 30 minutes.
The Isle of Arran is a good day trip if you get the ferry from Ardrossan, which is ten minutes down the road. Largs is nearby for the ferry to Great Cumbrae.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, TV, Wi-Fi. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs.
